Rain...

It's no fun when it rains during our summer break...

But it is fun when you have some rainy day projects to work on!

I tend to save little art projects we collect through out the year...from birthdays and holidays... so that we have something "new" to do indoors, when it's raining outside.

So, I pulled out these neat t-shirts and fabric pens that were tucked away. The Girlies got them for their birthday (thanks Schuck family!!) They immediately remembered getting these from Savannah and Matthew. Awwww, we've got such special friends! :)

And since the girlies were "coloring" ... Lil man wanted to color too. So we got out the coloring book and markers and he had a ball.

While the big kiddos colored... littlest man hung out in his bouncer and watched me fold laundry... I know folding laundry isn't the most exciting activity... But i did have cute chubby cheeks and a big gummy smile to talk to while I finished up my task. And let me tell ya, it does make for a more exciting and enjoyable, tedious task!

Even though it's raining...

We're still finding time to enjoy our time together...

Soaking up the sun!

The weather man is calling for rain showers this weekend. :(

So in the meantime... We're soaking up the sun's rays while it lasts.

And enjoying our summer harvest while we're out too!

My hubby is a bit of a big kid...

Mini Quad!

Yup. That's right folks. A mini quad.

Oh. And wouldn't you know it.
My big kid hubby, hopped right on that thing and road it around...
Our kids were delighted and giggled at the sight of their Daddy riding their mini quad...
You know, all 6'6" of him on a mini quad was sure a sight to see!

Every time Daddy showed lil man a picture of a quad on the computer, he would exclaim.. "mine?" He's pretty excited about his "bike" and likes the "vroom vroom" sound it makes!

They love kisses..
They love hugs..
They enjoy pedicures with their mommy
And getting their hair braided
They even love fruity lip gloss
And glitter on their eyes
But...
My girls, who are girlie girls
Really love getting dirty
Being outdoors
Riding their quad
Watching Daddy "boom" his gun
And especially love fishing with their Daddy
They may be girlie girls...
But they are outdoorsy girls too.

I love these two and the sweet, precious girls that they are.

Fun with Daddy

Summer is awesome! We are busy from sun up until sun down each day. It's wonderful. We like it that way.

Today was no exception. We celebrated Dad's day by going to the beach. It was cloudy, but not windy and not gloomy. Just cloudy and perfect for our first beach outing with littlest man.

We played in the sand for a long time... Dined on fish n' chips, enjoyed our favorite ice cream and even saw that someone captured "Bigfoot" with proof on the top of their car. The girls said, " hey, there's a person on top of that car!" we told them it wasnt real, just someone being funny. :)

Daddy had a GREAT fathers day he said. And I have to agree. It was just the six of us. It was very mellow and very relaxing. We just enjoyed the day at ease and in no hurry. A great day, indeed!
