If you're like me and constantly trying to find fun and new adventures to try out with the family, then I'm sure you'll appreciate this cool find we did with the whole family. Trav has been SO busy, we've been trying our best to do fun things in the evenings with him. So, we tried out a local "movie in the park" which featured the movie "Puss In Boots" on an inflatable big screen. It took place at Wlliakenzie Park, not too far from home and a familiar park to me since it was in my old neck of the woods growing up. We brought a blanket, lawn chairs and snacks! It was fantastic! I recommend it to anyone with kids! And the best part? It was free!!! They have several "movies in the park" that will be featured on different dates coming up located in different parks. Look up Lane County Events Calendar and check it out! There's so many fun things to do with your family this summer!!!
So onto what I was really going to post about...
Since Daddy has been working lots and lots... The kiddos and I decided to venture off for a day and night to the coast. I honestly did not care to hang out in the 102 weather here in town, this past weekend!!! And since both Trav and my mom were not big fans of me going by myself with four kiddos. My mom came along for the trip! We had a blast! And, it was perfect coast weather, 75 degrees!!!
We spent most of our time on the South Jetty and Honeyman Park.
The girls were hoping we'd see their friends Savannah and Matthew there. This is something they mention every time we have been to, driven by, or talked about Honeyman Park. They remember having so much fun there with those sweet kiddos, they automatically think they'll be there to meet us EVERY time! :) Cute!!! Next time?
