Tis the season...

Usually we are the annual {day-after-Thanksgiving} Christmas Tree Hunters. This year was an exception. We trekked  up to the snow two weeks before Thanksgiving. Yup. You heard right. Crazy. I know. But, this year things were a bit different. We had not one, but two Thanksgivings to celebrate, back to back days, then a big ol' family get together/ birthday bash for my mom with my side of the family. So our annual tradition, was switched up a bit, which was super fun in itself... it just meant we needed to Christmas Tree Hunt sooner, rather than later! And if you know me (and my hubs too. We are equally obsessed.) You know that I am truly 100% obsessed with Christmas. It's my most favorite holiday and time of year... it's special.
This year, my obsession started a bit early. It had to be in early October as I was lounging on the couch with my kiddos. I was letting my girlies play with my phone... they were having fun playing songs on Pandora and going through my music list. They clicked on something like Frank Sinatra's, “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” and instantly I was in the Christmas spirit! I know many would argue... Christmas in October? Well, you don't understand my family then. My hubs sings Christmas songs in July. No Joke! He really does. And yes... I was the one totally rocking out to Christmas music the very day the radio started playing 24/7 Christmas tunes. No matter how cheesey it sounds–it's our happy place.
Most of our seasonal fun has begun: Decorating... {Here's our house}

[Pictures of our Christmas Trees coming soon!]

We're also busy with our first School Christmas program, [more on that later!] lots and lots of school projects... {here's the girls' Polar Express project}

... and just to name a few more fun activities we've been up to: meeting Santa, shopping, celebrating birthdays, crafting and playing up in the snow!
Over the weekend... we tagged along for more time in the snow. My Mom and her honey, my brother and his wife, and my in-laws, were all in search of their perfect Christmas tree. So we hunted for trees... played in the snow... did a little sledding... then did a little visiting and sipping on hot cocoa by a very warm fire {thanks to my awesome hubs} and had a super fun time!!!
