Our littlest...
Smiley Riley...
is officially 2!!!
We just adore and love this little man. He is the icing on the cake. He has rounded out our little family and brought so much love to all of us. We love being his Dad/Mom/Brother/Sister... We love who he is... Who he will become... there are GREAT plans for this little man and we look forward to watching him continue to grow!
His real birthday was such a blessing for him/us... it was supposed to rain that day... but it didn't at all. All. Day. Long. It was cloudy, but not a single drop of rain. So what did we do for our 2 year old? We played outside ALL DAY. Just his cup of tea. This little guy LOVES to be outside. He would live out there if we let him. When big sisters and Daddy came home from school/work we treated our birthday boy to dinner at Red Robin... YUM! And afterwards we sang to him and celebrated with delicious cupcakes.
Two days later... we invited just family and held a small and very perfect party in our backyard. Our Rye Guy is shy... quiet... observant... relaxed... yet adventurous... and to keep him comfortable, since it was HIS day... we kept his party focused on just that... quiet and relaxed. And wouldn't you know it... the clouds parted that morning and the sun blessed us with it's presence... again... ALL. AFTERNOON. LONG. It was amazing. So perfect. Our theme for the party was "Radio Flyer Wagon" one of Riley's all time favorite things... he loves anything with wheels or tires... but when we found the red wagon party invitations, it was the perfect jumping off point for the theme of our party for our little guy. Everything was red and turquoise... super fun color combination!
These past two years of our life with Riley... has been pure joy, happiness and full of love. Riley entered our lives very dramatically... but his presence has been anything but that. He is so quiet and observant... yet full of so much personality and adventure. He is a very big boy! If you were to look at him now... or even two years ago when he entered our world 5 weeks early... you would never know that he was a premature baby. His development is outstanding... he is extremely smart... so advanced and doing so much to keep up with his big sisters and big brother.
He's our Ree Ree Man... and we love him to pieces!!!
