Winter Wonderland... We heart snow.

It's winter wonderland again. Some call it Snow-meggedan... we call it winter wonderland. We heart snow. We heart the state we live in. Not too many places get the beauty of snow during the winter time... the colors of fall... the flowers and rain of spring and the hot beaming sun of summer. But here, we do. And we are so BLESSED to have the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful snow that so gently made it's presence not once, but twice. Snow is so peaceful, so quiet, so joyful.

It's not very often that we get to eat every meal from our dining room table while watching the snow fall... or sharing just a glance out the window and hearing your young babe declare... "snow!"... it's absolute bliss.

The hubs and I are so guilty of becoming child-like again when snow visits. We have so generously rubbed it off on our children.  They absolutley love playing in the snow, they love watching the snow and they love talking about the snow. And our furry pooch... she loves it too. Probably equally as much as we all do.

During our off time of not playing outside in the glimmering snow... we've hunkered down in the abode, watching movies, warming up with yummy homemade chowder, hot cocoa and layers of quilts keeping our toesies warm. We even enjoyed homemade early Valentine's Day cupcakes in honor of our LOVING the snow so much! Joy. Peace. Love.

It's been the absolute best family time this Mama could ever ask for. I've prayed for this moment. We have had a very busy few months... it's all been wonderful busyness and a huge blessing for our family... but it's created much sacrifice and time restraint of our family time too. The hubs started a new chapter of coaching at the high school he works at, which he loves SO MUCH. He is the co-head coach of Varsity Wrestling. It's a wonderful title to have and a wonderful task for him to take on... but it's been very tasking on our time as a family too and we've missed him so much. So moments like these... the snow... the moments of just being home to enjoy each others company... It's wonderful. It's a prayer answered. It's a blessing from above. It's everything this little family needed and so much more.

We heart snow.

We heart our little family.
